Mikhail is a Corporate/M&A partner and head of our Capital Markets and Finance practices. His areas of practice include banking, finance, restructuring and insolvency, capital markets, domestic and cross-border M&A and private equity deals in the retail, financial and natural resources sectors.
Mikhail graduated from the law school of the Moscow State University (MGU) in 1996 and the University of Illinois in the US. He worked at Freshfields from 1996 to 2022, including six years spent in the London office starting from 1999. In 2010 Mikhail was appointed the managing partner of the Freshfields’ Moscow office. Mikhail is qualified to practise law in Russia, England and Wales and New York. He speaks Russian, English, German and Italian.
